At Ortec, we’ve always aimed higher than technical performance alone. On construction sites, in industrial plants, and across local communities, we work every day in direct contact with the soil, the water, and entire ecosystems. The planet is not only where we operate, it is also our shared responsibility.
That’s why, for several years now, the Group has accelerated its CSR approach by formalizing a global strategy structured around four pillars, the first of which is essential for all: reducing our environmental impact to build sustainable performance.

The O’Climat Plan: a clear course, concrete actions
Faced with the climate emergency, it is no longer enough to adapt, we must transform. It was with this vision that Ortec Group launched the O’Climat Plan, its ecological roadmap.
A bold challenge, a realistic vision
Our ambition is clear: to significantly reduce our carbon footprint, for the benefit of our clients, local communities and future generations.
The Group’s quantified commitments, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), are in line with the Paris Agreement:
- -42% absolute GHG emissions (scopes 1 and 2) by 2030 (baseline 2021)
- -51.6% on scope 3 emissions per million euros of added value
Measured, monitored and shared actions
Our CSR policy is based on continuous improvement, rigorously monitored and measured. Every action is precisely documented: greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, biodiversity, training, gender diversity.
We rely on powerful and transparent tools such as Tennaxia and our CO₂ calculator to measure, analyze and manage our impact.

Stronger transparency
Starting in 2026, Ortec will publish a comprehensive annual sustainability report in line with CSRD requirements, to share its commitments and results with full transparency.

A collective mobilization for transition
As a UN Global Compact member since 2019, Ortec is actively working toward 11 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
By joining the Shift Project, a leading think tank dedicated to driving the environmental transition, the Ortec Group is taking an active part in shaping the debate and implementing concrete solutions to help decarbonize industry.
Ecological transition starts in the field
Soil remediation, industrial energy efficiency, electric mobility, water consumption management: these are the solutions that embody our ability to combine technical expertise with environmental responsibility.
Under the Sustainable Performance Solutions banner, we support clients, industries, local authorities and service providers in decarbonizing their activities without compromising performance.
We believe in a transition lived in the real world: in workshops, on the roads, in technical choices, and in daily actions. And it begins with simple but transformative steps:
- Monthly fuel consumption monitoring
- Fleet modernization to include electric and hybrid vehicles
- Installation of EV charging stations at our branches
- Adoption of lower-impact industrial maintenance and cleaning solutions
“Let’s go to the field!”: rethinking performance through the lens of sustainability
Launched at the end of 2024, the “Let’s Go to the Field!” plan embodies our vision: improve operational performance, yes, but with respect for the planet and people.
This plan refocuses our practices on four fundamentals: prepare, execute, support and monitor. It is about rethinking our actions, methods and impacts, and making the ecological transition a reality on every project, every mission, every site.

At Ortec, we are convinced that environmental transformation cannot simply be decreed: it must be built collectively, on the ground, and from real-world experience. That’s why our commitment to the planet relies on two inseparable pillars: the collective intelligence of our employees and constant dialogue with our clients and partners.

Our employees are the first actors of this transformation. Working on the ground every day, they uphold our environmental commitments, bringing them to life through ambitious programs like “Ortec Life First”. While this program places safety at the core of our culture, it also reflects a broader focus on prevention, anticipation and responsibility, key values for tackling today’s environmental challenges.

Initiatives to make the planet more vibrant, here and now
Held on June 11, 2024, it brought together over 150 clients, partners and experts around a shared ambition: co-developing sustainable solutions at the crossroads of industrial and environmental challenges. This event has now become a key milestone in our dialogue and co-innovation efforts.
Every June 21, all our branches are transformed into hubs of engagement: climate murals, car-free days, zero-waste workshops… The environment becomes a tangible, collective and vibrant subject. And above all: it becomes everyone’s concern.
