Ultraperformance of ultrasound

An innovative technology, ultrasonic cleaning is an immersive washing process based on the action of high frequency sound waves. Precise, efficient and safe, it is used to clean, degrease, decontaminate or descale complex parts made up from different materials and small spaces or hard-to-reach areas. High effective in dealing with the smallest particles of residues from coking, combustion, carbonization, greases, oils, waxes, resins or soot; it is also more environmentally friendly because it requires very little detergent.

Efficiency of mechanised solutions

To increase the efficiency and reduce the duration of its interventions, while keeping its technicians safe, Ortec develops its own automated cleaning solutions. These include:

the NT4, robotic VHP descaler, ensures critical or non-critical descaling of condenser tubes dedicated to nuclear sites, fully complying equipment integrity.
The Nuclear Environment Decontaminator (NED) robot decontaminates the pools of the reactor buildings. Remotely controlled, it significantly reduces staff exposure to radiation.
