To further strengthen its customer focus, Brunet provides its Emergency Response Technicians (ERT) and Multi-Technical Emergency Response Technicians (MTERT) with O’Métiers training courses to help them develop their diagnostic skills. Based on a preliminary evaluation, these courses guide employees toward the most appropriate modules.

The objectives are multiple: to reinforce Ortec Group’s industry culture and maintain Brunet’s service quality by developing the versatility of its ERT and MTERT. “We want to constantly challenge ourselves to maintain an optimum level of skills. Thanks to these training courses, designed in conjunction with O’Métiers, we are able to improve our operational efficiency”, says Stéphane Mira, Agency Manager at Brunet Cognac with 33 years’ seniority, who is also in charge of technical training at the subsidiary specializing in electrical & thermal engineering and low-voltage systems. The involvement of Brunet experts in this initiative demonstrates O’Métiers’ commitment to build on in-house expertise, and to give recognition to in-house skills and skills transfer.

O’Métiers training courses respond to the evolving needs and aspirations of our employees

Brunet’s ERTs provide repair services on customer sites for all types of electrical and HVAC engineering. They ensure that installations are brought back into service as quickly as possible, to minimize operating losses. They also advise customers on how to optimize and maintain their systems. Firmly rooted in the field, they are considered to be the company’s first point of contact for presenting offers, making recommendations, issuing estimates and invoicing. The challenge for Brunet is to optimize both their responsiveness and customer service.

The training courses are part of the O’Métiers program, the internal training school set up to provide ongoing support for the Group’s employees in upgrading their skills to keep pace with developments in their field of expertise. The modules have been designed to meet the specific needs of Brunet’s different activities.

An assessment of the employee’s level of expertise is carried out at the start of the course – regardless of their length of service – before directing them to the sessions best suited to their needs and those of the company.

Strengthening Brunet teams’ culture of proximity

Delivered by two experts and in-house trainers, these courses are intended for technicians specializing in fire safety, air conditioning and electricity. These are strategic jobs at Brunet, whose employees are used to being on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. “This quality of service is part of Brunet’s DNA. We are upgrading the skills of our teams in order to continue to develop this culture of proximity and responsiveness to our customers” adds Stéphane Mira.

In addition to skill improvement, the training aims to enhance the efficiency of our interventions through methods of fault diagnostics and assistance monitoring until completion. It covers various aspects of the job from technical and administrative skills to HSE and costing. As a result, the integration of new employees into the ERT position is facilitated by this training support.
