Two months, that’s how long it took our teams to complete a major maintenance operation across three nuclear sites. Three condenser descaling interventions were successfully carried out, two of them simultaneously, all within a tight schedule.

These complex operations required the deployment of substantial technical resources, backed up by meticulous preparation and precise coordination, to ensure the success of the project:

  • 63 days of on-site intervention
  • 3 challenging projects completed successfully, including 2 conducted in parallel
  • 27 team members continuously on duty from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., six days a week
  • 4 very high-pressure (VHP) units deployed to power 4 descaling stations simultaneously
  • 144,000 tubes descaled, representing 1,872,000 linear meters processed.

Tailor-made organization…

This achievement was made possible thanks to rigorous upfront planning, precise logistical coordination, and our teams’ technical expertise in condenser maintenance. The human and material resources deployed ensured deadlines were met while maintaining a high standard of execution quality.

…to enhance plant performance

Beyond operational success, these projects have led to significant improvements in plant efficiency and reliability, helping to optimize the availability of production units.

They also reflect the Ortec Group’s integrated approach, with its subsidiaries SOM, Orys and Ortec Industrie operating throughout the entire lifecycle of nuclear projects: from engineering and construction to specialized maintenance.

Our congratulations to everyone involved for their dedication and professionalism, with a special recognition to the Ortec Industrie Rognac branch for successfully applying its industrial expertise to the nuclear sector.
