In an environment shaped by evolving regulations and the expansion of oil operations in Côte d’Ivoire, Tecor, a subsidiary of the Ortec Group, and West Green have reached a decisive milestone with the creation of Orwaste. This new entity, dedicated to environmental services and industrial cleaning for the upstream Oil & Gas segment, combines the Ortec Group’s operational expertise with West Green’s in-depth knowledge of the local market. It therefore provides a structured response to the sector’s growing requirements.

For several years, Tecor and West Green had maintained project-based collaboration built on the complementary nature of their expertise. The strength of this cooperation has gradually led to a shared vision: to jointly develop a player capable of addressing the regulatory, operational, and environmental challenges of the Ivorian market.

A Partnership Aligned with Regulatory Developments in the Sector

The adoption in 2022 of new regulations relating to local content profoundly transformed the oil ecosystem of Côte d’Ivoire. Certain strategic activities, including waste management and industrial cleaning, must now be carried out by companies with majority Ivorian ownership.

This development became a major driver in structuring a balanced and sustainable partnership between the Ortec Group and West Green. After nearly two years of joint work, the creation of Orwaste was officially announced in September 2025 during O.Forum, the event for major economic decision-makers organized by the Ortec Group.

The new company is owned by Ortec (49%), West Green (40%), and a network of Ivorian partners (11%), ensuring a strong local presence and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The new ORWASTE company is based on a majority Ivorian ownership (51%), structured around West Green and a network

of local partners, alongside the Ortec Group (49%), ensuring a strong local presence in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Positioned as a key player in the Oil and Gas sector in Côte d’Ivoire, Orwaste operates across the entire value chain of environmental services:

  • operational support at logistics bases, exploration sites, production units, and maintenance operations.

This offering is based on proven technical expertise, high QHSE standards, and a fully integrated CSR approach, combined with a deep understanding of local operational and regulatory challenges.

Orwaste therefore positions itself as a trusted partner, capable of deploying solutions that comply with international standards while making a lasting contribution to the development of the national economy.

A Sustainable Model Supporting Local Development

With Orwaste, Tecor and West Green are establishing a model of sustainable cooperation that creates value for the Ivorian economy. This partnership strengthens the skills development of local teams, supports the professionalization of environmental sectors, and consolidates our presence with offshore operators.

Orwaste thus embodies a structuring momentum to smoothly support the transformation of a rapidly evolving sector and contribute to the sustainable performance of the Oil & Gas in Côte d’Ivoire.
