The Ortec teams provided all the metallurgy and piping services for this pipeline for just over a year.
The Total group directly delivered the straight sections of the pipeline and the equipment to produce the supports. The project branch was then responsible for the processing, installation and connections.
The straight sections of the pipeline – 16 inches (350 mm) in diameter – were welded together into 96-metre-long sections and buried 2 meters below ground.
500 days of safety!
Despite significant complications due to carrying out work along the coastline and during the rainy season, the Ortec Group successfully tackled the issue of safety consisting of:
- the work performed,
- the teams involved,
- the terrain,
- and the absence of any incidents involving cessation of work for 500 working days.
