Ortec supports players in the nuclear industry throughout their project cycles, from studies and manufacturing to daily on-site maintenance.
A multi-specialist group, Ortec offers turnkey solutions such as taking corrective action. The Ortec Group teams have been developing their skills with passion and professionalism since 1975 when France’s first pressurised water reactors (REPs) were built.
Today, the Ortec Group is capitalising on these significant achievements to ensure the maintenance of the French nuclear fleet and its 58 reactors. In the 90s, it was by deploying local design offices close to its customers that Ortec became a reference company in providing engineering trades for the nuclear industry. Calculations, inspections, checks and general installation: the scope of the Group’s activities has gradually expanded to cover the entire life-cycle of the sector: design, works and maintenance.

With revenues of €250 million and over 2,000 employees, the Ortec Group’s nuclear activities are carried out by its various subsidiaries: Ligeron, Orys, Ower, SOM, Sonovision and Wortest, located throughout France, as close as possible to the customers’ facilities. In addition, the expertise of the Engineering and Nuclear Works Departments is brought together to generate optimum synergies at the service of major clients.
