SOM Strengthens Its Position in the Railway Sector
SOM, the Ortec Group’s engineering subsidiary, is further strengthening its presence in the railway sector with the renewal of a strategic Project Owner Assistance contract. This renewal recognizes SOM’s expertise in major projects that will shape the future of mobility.
SOM is continuing to expand in the transportation sector by renewing the contract for another four years from June 2026, extending a client partnership that began in 2009.
The contract covers project support services (project engineering, scheduling, and cost management) as well as Project Owner Assistance for infrastructure and equipment. These services support the client’s investment program to renew its facilities across the country.
The client has also renewed several assignments for major projects in the Paris region and elsewhere in France. These successes reflect the confidence that leading transport organizations place in SOM and help strengthen the Ortec Group’s experience in the railway sector. They are also driving recruitment to meet growing demand across the country.
Through these contracts, the Ortec Group is reinforcing its role as a trusted partner for manufacturers, infrastructure managers, and railway operators, helping advance sustainable mobility. Other subsidiaries, such as Ortec Environnement, also support the client by providing multi-site waste management services.
