The Group (with registered offices in Aix-en-Provence), headed by André Einaudi, generated sales of €845 million in 2013, employs 7,000 people in 110 branches in France and 25 sites in 15 African countries.

Sonovision, which is headquartered in Paris, is the European leader in the provision of logistics and documentation engineering services for the aerospace and space industry. The Group generates €120 million in revenue, employs 1,600 people and has 17 sites in France and 7 subsidiaries abroad. Founded in 1948, this pioneer in the production of technical documentation for military aeronautics was acquired in 2006 by the private equity firm, LBO France, which supported its development for seven years but never intended to remain its owner.

This acquisition allows Ortec to expand its range of activities into a fast-growing sector – aeronautics. It will ensure and consolidate the development of its Engineering division, which is involved in the nuclear energy and chemical fields in particular. This rapprochement forms part of Sonovision’s sustainable development and growth outlook. It gives it a real opportunity to expand its business activities in the Ortec Group’s promising, long-term sectors of Nuclear and Oil & Gas. Laurent Gautret, CEO of Sonovision, remains at the head of the Group, which will retain its name and become an independent Ortec subsidiary alongside the Group’s other entities.

This new package will strengthen the foundations for solid and profitable growth. With this acquisition, the independent Ortec Group will reach the one billion euro revenue mark in 2014, employing over 8,600 employees in 160 locations in France and throughout the world.
