The Ortec Group launches Oreve, the ultra-fast charging network
Electric mobility:
The Ortec Group is launching Oreve, the ultra-fast charging network designed for trucks and vans, operating throughout France.
The first station opens in Durtal
The first Oreve ultra-fast charging station for professionals will be officially opened on September 25, 2024. This initial installation reflects the Ortec Group’s commitment to supporting companies as they expand their electric vehicle fleets and work towards reducing their carbon footprint.Oreve stations are designed and operated by Obornes, a subsidiary of the Ortec Group specializing in electric mobility infrastructure.
The Oreve station in Durtal (Maine-et-Loire) features five Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (IRVE) units, each with a power capacity of 400 kW, providing 10 charging points. The site is set up as a turnaround station, ensuring smooth traffic flow while offering designated charging areas for different vehicle categories: light vehicles, utility vehicles, heavy trucks (up to 26 tons), and semi-trailers. The station is covered by a solar canopy equipped with photovoltaic panels (70 kW peak) supplying the charging and electrical needs of the site through a local power grid.
A solution designed by manufacturers for professional electromobility needs
“Oreve was originally developed to meet the Ortec Group’s need for simple, high-performance recharging of its growing fleet of electric vehicles. Today, we’re going one step further by providing companies and local authorities, who share the same issues, with a reliable, secure and appropriate solution” says André Einaudi, Chairman and CEO of the Ortec Group.
Oreve stations are designed to meet the needs of corporate fleet managers and local authorities. They are also made available to private customers. Offering 24/7 accessible infrastructures and optimized charging times, Oreve stations also provide amenities for everyone’s comfort (rest area, snacks , wi-fi and toilets).
The Oreve digital app allows users to plan their charging sessions. Available on iOS and Android, it features a range of practical functions: locating stations, checking charger availability, starting charging sessions, and soon, reserving time slots.
Accessibility and proximity
With an objective of installing 250 stations throughout France by 2030, the Oreve network supports professionals operating near Low Emission Zones (LEZs). “By focusing on territorial coverage, Oreve facilitates the transition of professionals and local areas towards electric mobility” explains Nicolas Dourassoff, Deputy General Manager of Obornes.
Oreve stations are interconnected with major mobility operators. Special rates are offered to nearby businesses and local authorities, and all stations accept credit card payments.
