Ortec presents its nuclear offer at the World Nuclear Exhibition
From November 30 to December 2, 2021, The Ortec Group takes part in the 4th edition of the WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition), where the key players of the civil nuclear energy community will gather in Paris. Organized by the French Nuclear Energy Industry Consortium (GIFEN), the theme of the event is “The nuclear industry, a key partner for a low carbon society and a sustainable future”.
To bring together the various international stakeholders covering the entire value chain of the civil nuclear community: this was GIFEN’s objective when they launched, in 2014, the first edition of the WNE. Over the years, the exhibition has become a key event for discussions and the promotion of innovations in the nuclear sector. It is consistent with a societal approach at a time when the debate is focused on the need for an alternative to fossil fuels and the development of a solution to growing energy needs.
Several decades of multidisciplinary expertise in the nuclear industry
A member of GIFEN, for 30 years, the Ortec Group has accompanied the nuclear industry in France and abroad through a multitude of services. Its teams are trusted partners of EDF for all its nuclear facilities and are involved in major projects (ITER, EAS-u, EPR, etc.) in France and abroad.
A global offer
Ortec is well-positioned as a partner to major customers, able to support nuclear projects throughout their entire life cycle. From engineering (studies, calculations, manufacturing monitoring, telemetry, industrial risks, etc.), to maintenance (process maintenance, valves and fittings, transport, sanitation, decontamination, unit shutdowns), as well as manufacturing and installation (metallurgy, piping, inspection, heavy handling, etc.).
A dedicated organization to meet the challenges
The Major Energy Projects department (GPE) coordinates nuclear expertise within the Group. In this capacity, it manages national framework contracts, safety modification projects and major component replacements.
This organization, based on a network of agencies closely situated to the power plants, has made it possible for the Group to meet the challenge of “post-Fukushima” projects: the delivery of 36 Emergency Diesel Generators (DUS). Today, Ortec is involved in the installation of safety circuits (EAS-u) for 10 nuclear reactors and has set up a 4.0 welding workshop in Pierrelatte to meet the requirements (safety, security and reliability) of such a project.
The Ortec Group has all the necessary assets to support the nuclear industry and help it meet its challenges.
