From October 10 to 13, 2023, the Ortec Group will be taking part in the 29th edition of the Pollutec exhibition in Lyon. This key event for environmental solutions brings together the stakeholders in the ecological transition and industry professionals to address the challenges of decarbonization.

The Ortec Group, solutions for the environment

A committed provider of specialist environmental and industrial services, the Ortec Group and its trade experts will be presenting their services, trade solutions and equipment adapted to every type of problem at stand N°98, Aisle K, Hall 2:

  • Waste management
  • Decontamination and rehabilitation
  • Sanitation
  • Industrial maintenance and cleaning
  • Environmental performance

Solutions adapted to climate change

The Ortec Group is actively involved on a daily basis in decarbonizing its activities and those of its clients across all sectors (energy, aeronautics, pharmaceuticals/chemicals, automotive, local authorities, real estate, etc.).

The Group’s O’Climat plan reflects this commitment with objectives that are as clear as they are ambitious: to reduce the Group’s greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50% by 2030 and to position the Group as a key supplier of low-carbon solutions for its clients.

Ortec is developing electric and hybrid vehicles with technologies to reduce energy consumption, noise pollution and emissions of volatile organic compounds, as well as revamping its fleet of trucks to extend their service life and enhance their performance at its new technical innovation center, Dantech.

A range of innovations and solutions will be presented at the Pollutec exhibition:

  • Fighting against soil artificialization
  • Energy performance of buildings
  • New in-situ soil decontamination techniques
  • Electromobility
  • Production of alternative fuels, etc.

“For over 30 years, the Ortec Group has been providing its clients with effective and sustainable solutions for the environment. Today, we support them in all their transitions, to meet the challenges of safety, industrial performance and decarbonization,” concludes Emmanuel Roche, the director of the Group’s Global Services Division.

 “Climate action awards”:

An in-situ soil remediation solution with low GHG emissions

With its proven expertise in in-situ soil decontamination, the Ortec Group is presenting an innovative technique with low greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) at this year’s Climate action awards. This solution is based on aerobic biological treatment by injection of pure oxygen, which has the advantage of strongly stimulating biological activity in treated areas, while also being suitable for bioventing (injection of oxygen into contaminated soil to oxidize pollutants) and/or sparging (injection of oxygen into contaminated groundwater to induce pollutant evaporation) projects.

The Group has also launched an ambitious project for the gradual electrification of its site machinery: the use of hybrid excavators for heavy machines and full electrification of light machines. This is a significant step forward, both in terms of limiting the carbon footprint of its equipment fleet and reducing noise pollution on worksites, thus contributing to improved operator comfort.

UPDS conferences:

Two conferences led by Ortec’s pollution control experts

The Ortec Group’s pollution control experts will present two innovative treatment solutions with strong environmental approaches:

Tuesday, October 10 from 11:20 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.
Substitution as a remediation solution in a constrained intervention context

Wednesday, October 11 from 10:25 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.
Atypical treatment of soils impacted by polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), total hydrocarbons (THC) and volatile organo-halogen compounds (VOC) using in-situ thermal desorption
