A long-standing player in industrial and environmental services in France, and already present in Canada through its Engineering subsidiary (Sonovision), the ORTEC Group is solidifying its presence in North America thanks to this acquisition. The new entity, called Ortec Environment Services, employs 550 people across Canada, in 20 offices, and generates annual sales of $90M.
A major player in the Canadian industrial cleaning and sanitation market, this company caters to industrial clients and to the public sector. Video inspection, cleaning of city/municipal networks, industrial cleaning activities, and unit shutdown work for industrial clients, are all services that Ortec already offers in France.
Julien EINAUDI, Director of the Global Services Division, Ortec Group:
“We are very excited to welcome all the teams of our new entity, Ortec Environment Services, into the fold of the Ortec Group.
We share the same professionalism and the same determination to always serve our clients in the Environment sector to the best of our ability.
Through all the exchanges we’ve had with the Canadian teams, I was happy to confirm that we share the same values regarding safety, commitment, and solidarity. We couldn’t have hoped for a better starting point for strengthening our presence in the Canadian industrial cleaning sector through technical innovation and the quality of our teams.
This acquisition is in line with our strategic plan, which is to deliver environmental services in countries where what we offer is what the clientele needs.”
“The Ortec Group is a global integrator of engineering and work solutions, with significant expertise. The company’s knowledge of the industrial sector, and its nearly 30 years of customer-oriented focus, make us confident in the transfer of our industrial cleaning division in Canada to ORTEC, as a new shareholder,” said Frédéric VAN HEEMS, President of Veolia North America.
Ortec Environment Services will be integrated into ORTEC Group’s Global Services Division, headed by Julien EINAUDI. Stéphane TURCAT will assume the new entity’s operational management, working out of the Montreal Head Office.
