MAINTENANCE OF GREASE TRAPS

Grease traps are tanks designed to retain grease from wastewater before it is discharged into the sewer system. Grease is insoluble, so it coagulates and collects in the pipes.

If grease blocks the flow of effluent, there is a risk of foul odors and flooding. Neglecting maintenance can therefore lead to pollution.

Ortec teams provide general maintenance and biological maintenance of grease traps.

  • Pumping and emptying of grease traps

BIOLOGICAL MAINTENANCE
  • Installation of a programmable dosing pump (every evening, the pump emits bacteria and enzymes that digest the grease and organic matter, converting them essentially into water. Once the grease trap is saturated, we intervene to pump out the effluent)
  • Installation of a mineral substrate to oxygenate the medium in the grease trap
  • Installation of a biological activator (liquid product) in the grease trap
  • Cleaning pipes adjacent to the grease trap (15 meters)
  • Checking the flows
